If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than other options, making it easier to maneuver in tight corners or under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best rated robot vacuum navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through cleaning.

It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen, and hallways with just one pass. Its suction motor of 8,000pa will quickly pick up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help draw out debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as good. The mop rotates quickly and utilizes 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when getting into difficult corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to pick up larger debris like books and broken toys.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It doesn't produce the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and works well however, this is something that you'll have to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum for the sole reason of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. However, it has distinct features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni's main draw is its massive dock that doubles as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a cleaning sink and the 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.

The base also comes with a set of control buttons that let you manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two of the buttons to turn off the child lock which is a great feature for parents who are worried about kids tinkering with the automatic vacuum cleaner.

The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to spot obstacles and furniture in its path. It will steer clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck if it is entangled in an obstacle, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It won't function until you untangle it manually. This is a rare event however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert on its application.

Another potential downside is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during cleaning. You'll have to manually switch between the two, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that the mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use and can cause mildew or mold.

On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot vacuums that mop, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxy units.
