WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boost in certain stats. Each upgrade increases item level by 3. A random extra substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as important for those with lower requirements due to the need to roll a perfect version.

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of weapon or armor.
